250,000+ Bottles Of Water, and Tons of Supplies, Delivered to N. Florida.'s Response To Hurricane Michael

  •, and it's partners, have delivered in excess of 250,000 bottles of water and supplies to N. Florida.
  • Through our collection efforts, Trucks arrived in Lynn Haven, Florida virtually every day with supplies.
  • We have fielded hundreds of calls each day directing people to The Red Cross, Salvation Army, FEMA, and emergency relief.  
  • HMD collected personal items to be shipped up to N. Florida/S.W. Georgia. 
  • HMD worked with First Responders and the Military to make sure your donated items got to the people who need them most.
  • HMD provided over 80,000 bottles of water for Tyndall Air Force Base, located near Panama City, FL.
  • HMD provided over $10k in donations to The Salvation Army.
  • HMD collected and provided pallets of personal items, including supplies, toiletries, food, and clothing to The Salvation Army.

    The Humane Society of the United States is responding to the needs of animals and animal shelters in the wake of Hurricane Michael in Escambia County, Florida. Providing logistical and financial support for transports of adoptable animals from shelters damaged by Hurricane Michael and/or inundated with displaced animals from the storm. A team of HSUS responders is assisting in these transport efforts, as well as providing sheltering support for the Escambia County Animal Shelter, which is serving as a hub for transports of adoptable animals out of the communities hardest hit by Hurricane Michael. As assessments continue, the HSUS is responding to critical resource needs for animals and coordinating equipment and personnel to serve those most affected by Hurricane Michael.
